
Meridian ACT is Canberra’s peer-led, community-controlled LGBTIQA+ health and wellbeing organisation, founded in 1983 during the HIV/AIDS crisis, now offering counselling, health, equity and support services for diverse sexualities and genders.

4 August, 2 to 5pm: Get free and confidential help around loans, debts, bank disputes, insurance matters and more at Care Consumer Law’s monthly Mobile Debt Clinic held at Meridian’s offices in Turner. Drop-ins welcome or you can book at appointment online or by emailing [email protected].
4 August, 2:30 to 4:30pm: Get free one-off legal advice from Legal Aid ACT at Meridian’s monthly LGBTIQA+ Legal Advice Service. Please note that appointments are now held at Legal Aid ACT’s offices at 2 Allsop St, Canberra. This is 1km away from the Meridian offices. By appointment only; call 02 6257 2855 to book your spot.
17 August, 4:30 to 6:35pm: The incredible team from Canberra Sexual Health Centre will provide free and confidential STI testing for LGBTIQA+ communities at STRIP Clinic, held at Meridian’s offices in Turner. Bookings are required: call 02 6257 2855 during business hours to book.
22 August, from 11am: MAGNet (Meridian’s social group for older gay and bisexual men) is having brunch at the National Film and Sound Archives. RSVP now.
