After the sold out success of their production of “Ride the Cyclone” in 2025, Youth Cabaret returns this October 2026 for its second theatrical production: “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals”
An apocalypse to a different tune, The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, Follows Paul in his desperate struggle to avoid his worst fear in an alien invasion; being forced to join in the singing. Accompanied by his trying co-workers, his coffee shop crush, and the local professor turned mad, they desperately attempt to exit stage right through a city turned musical.

Debuted by “StarKid Productions” in October 2018 “The Guy Who Didn’t like Musicals” is a horror comedy musical the likes of Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky Horror Picture Show, & Evil Dead: The Musical.
Praised as a genre defying esoteric musical, “The Guy Who Didn’t like Musicals” has received both critical acclaim and a cult following in the years following, even warranting an official remount from the original production company (Starting in 2025, and now continuing into 2026).

The Musical follows Paul, the guy who didn’t like musicals. In his desperate attempts to avoid joining in the singing. Follow him and his friends as they fight tune & note to get out of the city without whistling along to the madness.
With themes of conformity, self-identity & the effects of late stage capitalism The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals is the perfect fit for the cast of “Youth Cabaret” as they too fight to hold onto identity in the face of what’s expected by the ever growing masses & the chorus of capitalism.
All profits from ticket sales go towards paying the talented cast and crew that makes this all possible!
