The southern hemisphere’s biggest vogue ball is making an entrance for the Australian Dance Biennale’s closing night.
Sissy Ball comes to Town Hall, ready to soar as the trailblazing mother of the Naarm’s Ballroom Scene, Mother Kianna, summons international houses of the Southern Hemisphere to battle it out for trophies and grand prizes.
Born from the rich Fem Queen history and legacy of Ballroom, Sissy Ball 8 : Doll House is an homage to the powerful Black and Latinx Trans women that came before. Birthed from Legendary Mother Bhenji Juicy Couture in 2018, Sissy Ball was the spark that ignited the excellence of the Oceania Kiki Ballroom scene. Godmother Kilia, as the second curator, nurtured it and took it to new heights. Then, Sissy Ball in 2025 evolved to the International Mainstream scene through the regency of Mother Kianna from the International House of Oricci.
Now Mother Kianna returns for her second year. At Mardi Gras, Sissy Ball—The Warm Up, she helped bring the Kiki energy to the Mainstream floor on Gaddigal Land. Now for RISING, Sissy Ball: The Doll House brings all the luxuries to life.
