Fresh Out aims to a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ attendees to affirm and celebrate their pride. The event also aims to recognise the contributions that LGBTQIA+ individuals and groups make to the cultural fabric of the Canberra region and beyond. Fresh Out also provides a valuable opportunity for the region to showcase its inclusive and welcoming attitude to the broader tourism market. The first day of the SpringOUT festival also provides an important opportunity for the community to come together and reaffirm its sense of cohesion and support for all members, especially those who may have experienced a sense of disconnection during the COVID-19 pandemic.
