ACT Hub is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Noël Coward’s classic comedy Present Laughter, running from 4 to 14 June at ACT Hub. Directed by Karen Vickery, this sparkling production promises to bring Coward’s razor-sharp wit and glamorous chaos to life with a stellar local cast.

Present Laughter follows the self-obsessed but irresistibly charming actor Garry Essendine as he navigates a whirlwind of eccentric admirers, secret trysts, and mounting absurdity. Filled with razor-sharp repartee and farcical twists, Coward’s semi-autobiographical play is an hilarious exploration of fame, ego, and the perils of being adored.

On the play, director Karen Vickery says: “This play is a masterclass in comedic timing and sophistication. Coward’s writing is as fresh and biting today as it was in 1942, and our talented cast brings an electric energy to these larger-than-life characters. Audiences can expect an evening of laughter, glamour, and pure theatrical joy.”

Don’t miss this dazzling production of one of theatre’s greatest comedies, running for a limited two-week season at ACT Hub from early June!
